Ladakh (“land of high passes”) is a region in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir that currently extends from the Kuen Lun mountain range to the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Jammu and Kashmir and its culture and history are closely related to that of Tibet.
Day 01: Arrive Leh:
You will be met at the airport upon your arrival in Leh. Our Representative will then escort you to your pre-booked hotel situated in the central part of the city. The day will be spent in complete rest to acclimatize you in this high altitude region. In the evening you will take a light stroll to the market.Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 02: Visit To The Monasteries
After breakfast drive to visit the Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries. These monasteries are were in between the period of 15th and 17th centuries, the monasteries are a living example of the Buddhist teachings .An interesting collection of murals, frescoes and statues can be seen inside the main temples. Later return to Leh. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 03: Leh to Pangong Lake to Leh (320 Kms):
After early breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft. (third highest motorable road in the world) .The drive takes about 3-4 hours to reach. The lake is situated on the borders of India and Tibet. The lake is around 120 kms long and 50 kms in width. The lake is home to a large number of migratory and resident birds. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the banks of Pangong while appreciating the changing colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Drive back to Leh by the same route.Dinnerand overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 04: Leh to Nubra Valley to Leh (240 Kms):
After breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla pass (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft.)We will stop at the pass to admire and click some photographs of the fantastic view, before driving down in the Nubra valley. Arrive at Deskit-the tiny capital of Nubra by afternoon. Explore Deskit, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes( at your own cost ) between Deskit and Hunder Village. Evening drive back to Leh.Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 05: Leh – Sham region
After breakfast drive to sightseeing to the, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Hall of Fame museum and Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar& Indus River).Evening drive back to leh.Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 06: Departure:
Early morning by 06:00 hrs you will be transfer to airport to board flight back to your destination.
