Gangtok is the capital of the northern Indian state of Sikkim. Lachen is a town in North Sikkim district in the Indian state of Sikkim. It is located at an elevation of 2,750 metres. The name Lachen means “big pass”. The town is being promoted as a tourist destination by the Sikkimese government.
Lachung is a town and hill station in northeast Sikkim, India. It is located in the North Sikkim district near the border with Tibet.
Day 01: NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok (120 kms in 4-5 hrs)
Meeting & Greeting on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & transfer to Gangtok (5,480 ft.), Capital of Sikkim. On arrival check in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 02: Gangtok Local Sightseeing
After Breakfast start for a Full day city tour (Starts 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM) covering Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok & Hanuman Tok, Ranka Monastery, Banjhakri Falls, Cottage Industry, Dro-dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show and Handicraft Centre. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 03: Excursion to Changu Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast start for an excursion to Changu Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms from Gangtok city each way (Starts 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM). Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Optional tour to Nathula Pass (Alt 14000Ft.) on China Border can also be arranged (Except Mon, Tue) for Indian Nationals only at an additional cost.
Day 04: Gangtok – Lachen (125 kms / 6 hrs)
After breakfast pick up from hotel & transfer to Lachen (9,285 ft.). Enroute visit Singhik View point, Seven Sister Water Fall, Naga Water Fall, and reach Lachen by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachen.
Day 05: Lachen – Chopta Valley – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung
Early Morning drive to Chopta Valley (13,225 ft.) & Gurudongmar Lake (17,175 ft.). Back to hotel and after Lunch transfer to Lachung (8,175 ft). Reach Lachung by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 06: Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion
After breakfast drive to Yumthang Valley Known as Valley of Flowers (11,910 ft.). On the way back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort. Overnight stay at Lachung.
Optional Yumesamdong Valley or Zero Point (Alt 15700 ft.) for Indian tourists only at an additional cost.
Day 07: Lachung – Gangtok (120 kms / 6 hrs)
After breakfast departure for Gangtok, en-route witness the wonderful Bheema & Twin water falls. On arrival at Gangtok check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 08: Gangtok – NJP Rly Station / IXB airport (120 kms / 4-5 hrs)
After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport for your onward journey, Tour ends.
